Hamilton, LMFT, LADC, will communicate the depth and intricacies of Mountainside’s portfolio of programs and offerings, which have redefined addiction treatment for thousands of individuals across the country. Mountainside sets the standard in comprehensive drug and alcohol addiction treatment by providing compassionate, individualized care that combines traditional clinical interventions with complementary evidence-based therapies like meditation and acupuncture.

As a leader in international and national addiction causes and agencies, we are confident that John will be a tremendous asset to the Mountainside team.”

Hamilton has been a consultant for the National Institute for Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA). Hamilton currently chairs the advisory board for the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) and serves on the Governors Alcohol and Drug Policy Council. He also has led an addiction treatment organization as CEO while simultaneously maintaining a successful private practice.

“I am honored to join the incredibly dedicated team at Mountainside in this exciting, newly created position. I look forward to further enhancing the public’s understanding of all that Mountainside has to offer to those struggling with alcoholism and drug addiction,” said Hamilton. “I have always admired how groundbreaking Mountainside has been in developing its integrated care model. I hope to, in some small way, have a positive impact on people’s lives as I help lead the Mountainside team in addressing the opioid epidemic and continue to develop its Medication-Assisted Treatment program.”
