We understand today’s busy lifestyles and strive to make it easy for clients to get quality substance abuse treatment while maintaining life commitments. We offer Outpatient Services that work with clients’ schedules and smoothly integrate into their daily lives.
Our professional team of licensed clinicians provides clients with the care they need to overcome short-term challenges while working toward long-term recovery goals. In each of our Outpatient Services locations, we offer three program options: Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, and Individual Therapy. All programs are complemented by a selection of Wellness therapies to further enhance treatment outcomes.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
IOP aims to help clients who are in the first stages of recovery achieve 30 days of abstinence while living within their communities. Our clinicians help clients work through post-acute withdrawal symptoms and understand the risk these symptoms pose to recovery efforts. Clients focus on learning how to remain sober, identifying triggers and high risk situations, as well as understanding the disease of addiction. IOP averages 4-6 weeks for 9+ hours a week.
Outpatient Program (OP)
The goal of OP is to strengthen clients’ recovery skills and begin to repair the damage that addiction has caused in their lives. Areas covered include relationships, career, finances, and self-esteem. Our clinicians work with clients to develop longer term goals, learn and practice relapse prevention, as well as develop a strong sober support network. OP averages 3-6 months for 2+ hours a week.
Individual Therapy offers clients, who need extra privacy or who have considerable social anxiety, professional one-on-one counseling to work through recovery issues. Our clinicians guard clients against relapse while guiding them safely through work, family, and other crises.
Through one-on-one counseling, our clinicians help clients analyze their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to gain a clearer understanding of their inner-selves, especially the strengths they possess to achieve life goals.
Our skilled clinicians facilitate positive group discussion on common addiction concerns and experiences. In a safe and empathetic environment, clients learn how to effectively express themselves, address challenges, and overcome hurdles.
Family & Couples Counseling
For outpatient clients, it is particularly vital to have a network of supporters through the ups and downs of early recovery. Our clinicians help clients reconnect with their loved ones, improve communications, and strengthen relationships.
We provide thorough psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and progress monitoring by board-certified psychiatrists experienced in treating substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
We offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to stimulate the brain’s natural ability to process life events so that clients can let go of emotional distress connected to their past.
To help combat stress — a factor known to increase the risk of addiction — Massage Therapy is available. The healing power of therapeutic touch helps clients reduce stress, relieve tension, and increase endorphins.
Acupuncture stimulates specific points on the body to ease pain, decrease cravings, and improve sleep. We provide clients the opportunity to have individual sessions designed to address their specific needs.
When physical discomforts and cravings are so strong that they prevent an individual from focusing on treatment, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) may be a solution. At Mountainside, we combine MAT with professional counseling for improved outcomes.
