To be successful in recovery, a complete lifestyle change is often necessary. Making change, however, can be a very difficult process, requiring a lot of desire and determination. In early recovery, seemingly trivial things can unexpectedly derail progress. Mountainside’s Recovery Coaching program provides clients with dedicated assistance from a certified recovery coach to safely move forward through this vulnerable time period. We provide clients and their families one year or more of individualized, comprehensive support in all aspects of wellness and recovery.
*regular exercise, healthy diet, wellness activities
Our Recovery Coaches work side by side with each client to establish goals most meaningful to the client. Together, they create detailed action plans to reach those goals. Each month, progress is reviewed and a new plan developed to build upon the client’s foundation for recovery.
Our coaches are easily accessible via phone and email, around the clock. Through daily texts, regular calls, and face-to-face meetings, our coaches keep a close eye on each client’s progress. The high frequency of contact enables coaches to identify early warning signs and then act quickly to tackle any problems clients face.
Families play a key partnership role in our program. Each week, coaches communicate with families to help them understand their loved one’s challenges, keep them informed of their loved one’s progress, and educate them on how to better support their loved one in recovery.
A healthy, sober lifestyle includes opportunities to have fun and meet other recovery-minded individuals. We offer a range of free and discounted admissions to a number of events throughout the year. Events include educational and wellness workshops, sports activities, adventure outings, and a cruise.
The Recovery Coaching program is goals-focused and results-oriented. Each month, we help clients measure their progress in key areas of wellness — anxiety, depression, attention, sleep and cravings — as well as assess relapse risk. Results are shared with clients and any area of concern is given extra attention.
Random Toxicology Screenings
We provide random toxicology screenings and breathalyzer tests each month to reinforce clients’ accountability for their own sobriety. Screening results, in certain circumstances, may be also be presented to court-, employer-, or school-mandated addiction treatment programs as proof of sobriety.
Connected Care Network
Clients will often require additional services from other professionals. Our coaches not only assist in finding reputable service providers but also coordinate delivery of services between all professionals — the client’s “Connected Care Network” — to ensure maximum efficacy.
There may be situations during early recovery when the physical presence of a coach proves especially beneficial in protecting sobriety. For clients requiring support for any type of event, activity, or travel, our Recovery Coaches can provide sober companionship.
Mountainside’s Recovery Coaching program is clinically supervised, and all Recovery Coaches are certified professionals.
