New café menu features satisfying newcomers like poutine and tofu “wings”

Canaan, CT—Starting May 13, Mountainside Café will be serving dinner in addition to their popular breakfast and lunch menus. The café’s all-new dinner menu features a diverse selection of delectable home-style – yet healthy – favorites as well as a delicious mix of dishes from various regions around the world.

Entrées include a wide variety of wraps, salads, burgers, and soups that will be joined by standout newcomers like the shrimp and crab tacos, Pad Thai with duck, and a ½ grilled jerk chicken. The dinner menu will also feature flavorful and satisfying appetizers like the ultimate Canadian comfort food poutine (French fries smothered in gravy and topped with cheese curds), Indian inspired sweet potato samosas, and vegetarian friendly tofu “wings.”

“We are excited for guests to come in and try some of the new dinner entrées at the café,” says Executive Chef Jason Chartier. “Our delicious menu showcases farm-fresh ingredients in creative and inventive way. We love seeing our guests come back again and again.”

Now in its third year, the café’s seasonal dinner menu keeps true to its promise of promoting sustainability and supporting the community by sourcing ingredients from local farmers, growers, and producers in the Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York area.

The Mountainside Café dinner menu is being served on Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm to 9pm.
