Treatment center offers more opportunities for substance abuse care

Canaan, CT—Mountainside treatment center has again expanded its comprehensive continuum of care to include Outpatient Services. These services are now available to all of Mountainside’s clients as part of their continuing care planning options. They are also available to individuals from the local community who have treatment needs better suited to a non-residential rehabilitation program.

“When it comes to the essential task of engaging individuals in recovery, we recognize that different clients have different needs. Our Outpatient Services operate under the same philosophy of individualized and compassionate care that our other offerings do,” said CEO Stephen Benson.  “Outpatient Services give us the opportunity to create an adaptable solution for our clients, one that is interwoven into each client’s everyday life.”

Clients can choose from three outpatient treatment options to suit their needs:

  • Intensive Outpatient — Educates clients on building healthy relationships and promotes early recovery behavioral changes in a therapeutic community setting.
  • Outpatient — Helps clients gain insight into thought processes and emotions in relation to themselves and the world around them by providing essential relapse prevention tools.
  • Individual Therapy Sessions – Enables clients to develop healthier worldviews and compassion for themselves.

Outpatient Services allows clients to live at home as they take advantage of convenient day and evening hours for therapeutic treatment with Mountainside’s team of licensed clinicians. The team has expertise in individualizing care and developing therapeutic alliances to help each client not only deal with real issues of the moment but also achieve long-term recovery goals.
