About This Support Group

Often it may be difficult to speak about the loss of a loved one. It can be extremely useful to process the difficult feelings of grief in a group setting. Meeting with other bereaved individuals who are coping with similar life circumstances can help to reduce isolation, and increase hope and remembrance.

This group aims to provide a better understanding of the different stages of grief, enabling you to accept the reality of your loss, work through the pain, learn how to live without your loved one, remain connected to support, and embark on a new life.

Join our dedicated team of professionals on the fourth Thursday of each month, in our virtual support group Healing Through Remembrance.

  • These online support groups are free and open to the public.
  • Meetings are run by Mountainside staff.
  • All meetings are hosted on Microsoft Teams.

**To maintain the privacy and safety of our community, attending this support group for educational or research purposes is not permitted. However, you may find helpful information through our drug glossary and blog.**

Support Groups

It is often said that the opposite of addiction is not sobriety, but connection. Having a strong support system is paramount to your sobriety and recovery journey. At Mountainside, we offer a wide range of in-person and virtual support groups for individuals in recovery and friends and families with loved ones in recovery. These groups are designed to help you stay connected to like-minded individuals regardless of where you are.
