About this Event

Back by Popular Demand! Introduction to the Art of Gratitude Journaling

We are living in stressful times, and emotional burnout is a common symptom of living with this kind of chronic stress. It can look a lot like depression, which affects our motivation and ability to take concrete wellness steps toward improving our quality of life. One fun and fulfilling way of reducing stress and cultivating a mindfulness practice along with a more positive perspective is through gratitude journaling.

Join Sharon Itkoff Nacache (The Art Therapy Practice) and Mountainside Staff for an introduction to the Open Art Studio method of Art Therapy, where we begin a practice of gratitude journaling together, using both creative writing and drawing as our guide. You’ll need whatever you prefer to write, draw, and color with (pens, pencils, crayons, watercolors, etc.) and some paper (notebook, construction, printer, etc.); your imagination will provide the rest!

Support Groups

It is often said that the opposite of addiction is not sobriety, but connection. Having a strong support system is paramount to your sobriety and recovery journey. At Mountainside, we offer a wide range of in-person and virtual support groups for individuals in recovery and friends and families with loved ones in recovery. These groups are designed to help you stay connected to like-minded individuals regardless of where you are.
