This presentation is appropriate for: clinical professionals, psychologists, therapists, counselors, and social workers. This course is appropriate for all levels of education and experience.

Participants will receive 2 Free Social Work CE Credits for completing this workshop. Participants will need to attend the entire live webinar in order to obtain credits.

1. Identify the 5 types of self-disclosure in therapy.
2. Identify ethical standards for practice.
3. Gain an understanding of the purpose self-disclosure serves in addition to the clinical issues and populations for which it should not be utilized.

About the Speaker

Andrew Benevento, LCSW, CCM

Program Manager, Outpatient Services — Huntington @ Mountainside Treatment Center

Andrew is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Case Manager with a master’s degree in social work. He also holds a Seminar in Field Instruction certification, is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and has extensive clinical and case management experience. Prior to joining Mountainside, Andrew delivered vital recovery resources to those in need through his work in a hospital emergency room, behavioral health centers, and a private practice. In his clinical sessions at Mountainside, Andrew uses a trauma-centered approach to help clients process complex emotions and build on their inherent strengths. By fostering open communication and modeling positive coping strategies, he encourages clients to confront and overcome challenges in recovery.
