About this Event

Presented by: Gooding Wellness and Mountainside Treatment Center

Objectives:

Yoga Nidra is an ancient yoga practice that creates an experience of deep relaxation. It is also known as conscious sleep, Nidra meaning sleep, or a state of sleeping with awareness. This is an extremely nourishing, healing and restorative practice. Working with the subtle energy body, blockages can be released to create shifts and changes in the physical, and emotional bodies. It is practiced while remaining in a relaxed position either lying down or sitting.

Yoga Nidra can help to:

– Normalize sleep patterns

– Reduce stress and anxiety

– Improve memory

– Nurture your nervous and endocrine systems

– Increase overall well-being

– Props and blankets will be available to be comfy during the session, but if you have any personal pillows or blankets that you would like to bring please do so. You will be laying still for 45 minutes.

Facilitator:

Class is offered by Martha Ketteridge, Nurse Practitioner, 200 RYT, and Mindfulness Meditation teacher.

Support Groups

It is often said that the opposite of addiction is not sobriety, but connection. Having a strong support system is paramount to your sobriety and recovery journey. At Mountainside, we offer a wide range of in-person and virtual support groups for individuals in recovery and friends and families with loved ones in recovery. These groups are designed to help you stay connected to like-minded individuals regardless of where you are.
