Canaan, CT—Mountainside is launching a highly personalized recovery monitoring program, giving clients close, dedicated guidance and recovery management to help clients learn practical strategies to prevent relapse and address real-world environmental and personal triggers for drug or alcohol misuse.

The recovery monitoring program, which provides structure, creates measurable goals, and reinforces accountability, supports clients with comprehensive transition assistance. Wellness and Recovery Specialists work closely with clients, communicating with clients at a minimum of two times a week – no matter where the client is in the world.

The advisory relationship between the specialists and clients is what enables clients to make positive life choices that will lead to long-term recovery. Specialists help each client address any issues that may be obstacles to their sobriety in their first year of recovery – from emotional and behavioral issues to financial and employment concerns.

“Our clients have come to expect a high level of personal care from us, and our Recovery Monitoring program is a natural extension of our commitment to individualized addiction treatment,” said Steve Langley, Mountainside Executive Director.

Key features of Mountainside’s recovery monitoring program include the development and implementation of a customized wellness plan, psychoeducational support for the client’s family members, assistance in locating recovery and wellness focused resources (AA and NA meetings, Alanon Meetings, therapists, or other services), random toxicology screenings, and even advocacy for clients in the court system, schools, or on the job.
