Akilah is a passionate yoga instructor and 12 Step Recovery Facilitator who is working towards becoming a professional yoga therapist. Her lifelong dedication to running influenced her attention to breath and movement as well as her curiosity about yoga, meditation, and alternative healing modalities. In her current role, she uses a trauma-informed approach, encouraging clients to release physical and emotional patterns of suffering. Akilah also leads spirituality workshops to promote optimal wellbeing and help clients discover their most authentic selves. During her spare time, Akilah enjoys traveling, dancing, singing, being in nature, and spending time with her family, especially her daughter.
