Clinician — Ramsey
Shalin is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Nationally Certified Counselor holding a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. At Mountainside, Shalin treats co-occurring disorders and complex trauma in teens, adults, and families of diverse cultural backgrounds. He integrates a trauma-focused, attachment-based, LGBTQIA-affirming, social justice-informed, and relational approach. He draws upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and somatic therapies to facilitate growth and healing in the individuals he serves. While away from work, Shalin engages in creative writing, expands his music playlists, enjoys hiking, and explores the Tri-State’s many pizzerias.
