Outpatient Services for Substance Abuse in CT

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

IOP aims to help clients who are in the first stages of recovery achieve 30 days of abstinence while living within their communities.  Our clinicians help clients work through post-acute withdrawal symptoms and understand the risk these symptoms pose to recovery efforts.  Clients focus on learning how to remain sober, identifying triggers and high risk situations, as well as understanding the disease of addiction.  IOP averages 4-6 weeks for 9+ hours a week.

Outpatient Program (OP)

The goal of OP is to strengthen clients’ recovery skills and begin to repair the damage that addiction has caused in their lives.  Areas covered include relationships, career, finances, and self-esteem.  Our clinicians work with clients to develop longer term goals, learn and practice relapse prevention, as well as develop a strong sober support network.  OP averages 3-6 months for 2+ hours a week.

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy offers clients, who need extra privacy or who have considerable social anxiety, professional one-on-one counseling to work through recovery issues.  Our clinicians guard clients against relapse while guiding them safely through work, family, and other crises.
