Extended Care Program Overview
Our unique program is made up of four components — Community Living, Outpatient Services, Work Program, and Fun and Adventures — designed to help you develop constructive behaviors and healthy lifestyle habits while engaging with the wider community. As you learn and practice sober living, you master skills needed to maintain long-term sobriety once you leave Mountainside and return to your everyday life.
Learn proper self-care, establish structured daily routines, build a support network, and partner with your case manager to set goals and devise plans to achieve them.
Receive addiction counseling to help develop greater self-awareness of your behaviors and emotions as well as address any immediate life concerns as they arise.
Work part-time at a recovery-friendly, Mountainside-affiliated facility to hone practical life skills such as time and money management while also strengthening communication and team work skills.
Fun and Adventures
Enjoy a variety of activities, excursions, and international trips designed to help you have a good time in recovery, without alcohol or drugs.
