Family wellness in addiction treatment helps you and your loved ones address how addiction has impacted your lives, allowing everyone to begin a parallel healing process. Through Mountainside Treatment Center’s Family Wellness services, you work on building or rebuilding trust, improving communication, establishing healthy boundaries, and practicing self-care to foster healthy family dynamics that strengthen addiction recovery.

Services for Individuals Struggling with Addiction

Having a solid support network provides you with the care and assistance you need to overcome challenges that may arise during and after treatment. Family is an essential component. At Mountainside, we understand that drug and alcohol abuse can shatter family relationships, and so, our Family Wellness Services help you recognize and address the impact that your addiction has had on those around you so that you can begin to rebuild strained bonds and receive the support you need to succeed.

One-on-one session to help you understand and analyze your current family dynamics, discusses the negative impact that damaged relationships can have on your progress and explore the best ways to repair them.

Family Dynamics Group

Discussion of how your addiction has impacted your family, how your family has impacted you and your addiction, as well as the role your family members and friends play in your treatment and recovery.

Services for Family & Loved Ones

Learning that a loved one is struggling with addiction is difficult. It can fill loved ones with guilt, anger, and resentment. It can make one feel lost and alone with nowhere to turn. Mountainside’s has everyone in your family unit and support system covered with expanded Family Services offerings, free support groups and workshops, and more. All programs are designed to provide help for families just like yours.

Virtual Family Orientation

Mountainside has created a 90-minute overview to help loved ones better understand the disease of addiction, substance abuse treatment, and what you’re going through as you begin treatment. This recurring virtual orientation is mandatory for all loved ones intending to visit you in treatment at our main campus.

Free Support Groups

Mountainside has created a range of virtual and in-person support groups. Your loved ones can join a recurring Friends & Family Support Group or Spouse and Partner Support Group, among others.

Virtual Family Wellness Workshops

We’ve created a series of online workshops for loved ones who want to learn even more about some of the most pivotal aspects of addiction treatment and recovery, safely ask questions, and build a support network. These workshops are open to all.

Family Services from Mountainside

Mountainside’s Family Services programs can empower you family and support system members to repair relationships, rebuild trust, enhance communication, and establish healthy boundaries. Family Outpatient Services and Family Recovery Coaching are now available for all. We work with a range of private insurances, and people who wish to access these services do not have to have a loved one in care at Mountainside in order to do so.
