There are certain areas one can evaluate in order to identify if they think they have a problem. I would start off with even just looking at if they’ve been told by a loved one that they have a problem. Oftentimes, people see a struggle well before we do, and if being told this has annoyed them, or maybe they feel guilty about their use, those feelings are often an indicator if use has become a problem.

Another way someone can identify if their use has become problematic is if they tried to cut back or stop, and they’ve been completely unsuccessful. There are so many ways someone can identify if they think that their use has become problematic, and it could be uncomfortable, and it could be scary. If someone is questioning if they have a problem, Mountainside can help.
