Before Admission

Our team collects your insurance information during the pre-admission process and then contacts your insurance provider to determine your anticipated financial responsibility, based on the most-up-to-date coverage information. This process is typically completed during your initial phone call.

Please note: We are in-network with select Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), including Lower Hudson Valley EAP, Massachusetts & Northern New England Laborers, Tri-State EAP and Tri-State Teamsters. You can read more about EAPs here.

During Treatment

Once you are admitted to any of our alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs, our team maintains regular contact with your insurance provider. We provide all necessary documentation for coverage to help streamline the payment process so that you can better focus on healing.

After Treatment

Your insurance providers may take up to two months to process your claim. Our experienced Billing team help you understand your benefits and your financial obligations in relation to that of your insurance company’s responsibilities.

If a claim is not paid by an insurance provider within a certain time frame, our Billing team assists you in pursuing payment, including making appeals of insurance company denials.

Private Pay

If you lack insurance coverage or choose not to use insurance, you have the option to private pay. We accept both checks and credit cards. After our team determines your expected financial responsibility, payment via insurance, private pay, and other financial aid options are explored. We will work closely with you and your family to put together the best financial package available. We are happy to help you with any questions or concerns that you may have. Our top priority is making your transition into care a smooth one. Please contact us today.

The No Surprises Act

Effective January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act, which Congress passed as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, protects patients from surprise bills for emergency services at out-of-network facilities or for out-of-network providers at in-network facilities, holding them liable only for in-network cost-sharing amounts. The No Surprises Act also enables uninsured patients to receive a good faith estimate of the cost of care. While the No Surprises Act covers a wide range of medical services, it does not cover addiction treatment services. This law specifically targets emergency services, non-emergency services provided by out-of-network providers at in-network facilities, and air ambulance services from out-of-network providers. For more information see our Admissions FAQs.
