Alyssa Cumpstone

Alyssa is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. As Director of Inpatient Services at Mountainside, Alyssa oversees clinical programming for detox and residential levels of care. She integrates a trauma-responsive framework into both treatment and supervision to create a supportive environment for healing and growth. Alyssa is skilled in Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and uses EMDR resourcing to help guide people in managing cravings and triggers in early recovery. She leverages these techniques to empower clients in their pursuit of a sober, productive lifestyle.
