Addiction & Recovery Support Groups

It is often said that the opposite of addiction is not sobriety, but connection. Having a strong support system is paramount to your recovery. At Mountainside, we offer a wide range of in-person and virtual peer-to-peer support groups, as well as support groups for friends and family members of loved ones struggling with sobriety. All of our support groups are designed to help you stay connected to others who can understand the ups and downs of recovery so you never feel alone.

Whether you are new to sobriety and need some support to get through the challenges of early recovery, or you are looking to connect with like-minded individuals who want to lead a substance-free life, we have a group for you. All of our free peer support groups are conducted by Mountainside’s caring treatment professionals and wellness experts who provide a safe space for you to share your accomplishments, setbacks, and recovery goals.

If you are not able to attend an in-person meeting, our virtual support groups for individuals in recovery and folks who have loved ones in recovery are easily accessible from anywhere using the Microsoft Teams application on your smartphone or laptop.

NEW: You can now register for a Mountainside In-Person Support Group Pass, which allows you to conveniently sign in to Support Groups with a pass that is stored in your smartphones “wallet”. Sign up here!

Please note: To maintain the privacy and safety of our community, attending our support groups for educational or research purposes is not permitted. For general research please utilize our drug glossary and blog.
